Carolyn Kerins DDS, PhD is a Kentucky native who relocated to Dallas, Texas to attend Southern Methodist University. Afterwards, she obtained her dental degree, PhD and pediatric dentistry certificate from Baylor College of Dentistry. Her clinical interests are treating patients with special healthcare needs and craniofacial anomalies. She maintains hospital privileges at Children’s Medical Center, Baylor Our Children’s House and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.Dr. Kerins is full-time faculty member in the department of pediatric dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry and serves as the post-graduate program director.

Dr. Kerins serves as an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and as a consultant for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Council on Clinical Affairs. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Greater Dallas Pediatric Dentistry Society.

Carolyn is actively involved in local charities and the SMU alumnae association. Her hobbies include distance running and tennis.
